The Night of Divali

The flame is still...the night peaceful, undisturbed, so quiet. But the experience is short-lived, the tranquility broken by the ridiculous noise of cantankerous behaviours and fireworks rapid and loud, the air thick with their smoke, this, an obvious reminder of who we are, of what we have become. Loud. Obnoxious. Ridiculous. Selfish. Inconsiderate. Ignorant. Pathetic even.

I put those thoughts aside and once more look to the flame. This flame...this symbolic flickering light, now struggling, somehow surviving, conquering the darkness of night. We're all like that; I am like that, and I'm staring at it now, consciously captivated. Because I need all the inspiration I can get.

So, is celebrating life supposed to be a quiet, reflective day? Do the fireworks not reflect the essence of Divali?

That's a way nice photo. Can I take pictures like that with the XSi? Because I'm sold if I can.

...and in the Contrast we shall find beauty, time to reflect, the opportunity to grow and the ability to be at peace with both sides of the spectrum.

"I need all the all the inspiration I can get." You are the inspiration my friend, remember that "if you look, you shall find" . "ask and it is given".
